Economy

The economy in our country is the most difficult thing to deal with. There are the right wing conservatives that blame everything on President Obama and his liberal views. I really do not believe that there can be that many ignorant people in this country that did not notice the change in the economy that happened under George W. Bush. When our former President Bill Clinton left his presidency the country was in a surplus. Everyone chastised him for his adultery but that does not compare to what Bush did. He hid behind the events of 9-11 and people just ignored what he has done and how he has lied to the people. Do people not notice that over the 8 years of his presidency we went into a deficit and then our banks fell apart. People forget that it was the Republicans that kept pushing for the bank bailouts and now that they got them they blame President Obama. Are people that ignorant well at least that explains why our economy is in such a mess. I never believed in the banks being bailed out. They make enough money and I am sure they still have a lot of money since they have enough to pay large sums to their top executives. Why are people not asking the wealthy to help out? Why is it that they do not get affected but the middle class and the poor need to restore our economy? Will we be able to get out of this? I am sure we will get out of it but the wealthy will remain wealthy and the middle class, which is the one that gets affected the most, will just get poorer. I am tired of this and hearing the Republicans (not all but the majority) blame it all on the Democrats and not willing to comprimise. Yet this is also what frustrates me because the Democrats will compromise when they should just act the same way as the Republicans and not cave in. Why are they the ones that should get what they want? That is why we are in this mess because we allowed the Republicans and the wealthy do whatever they wanted and hide behind their religious views. If they were really religious then they would not let greed (which is one of the deadly sins) rule the way they operate but it does and they will not compromise. What ever happened to separation of church and state since they do like to throw our constitution out there whenever they begin to lose a bit. And we the people just eat it up. Seriously, we can't think for ourselves or do our own research. Then what is the use of having the internet at our fingertips?

I am just a bit frustrated and tired of listening to all this nonsense. Nothing gets on my nerves more than ignorant, greedy people. What I do not understand is why do we believe what they say? Why are people claiming President Obama is a socialist when we do not even have the slightest idea of what a socialist government is and why are we not prosecuting George Bush and asking him what the heck did he do to our economy? All of it went downhill when he became President and yet people still elected him for a second term. What a shame Republicans have noone to blame but themselves yet they still find a way to blame Democrats.

Also I am sick and tired of people talking about illegal immigrants and referring to Mexico when they say that. Look illegal immigrants come from different countries not just Mexico. There is nothing we can do about illegal immigrants we can try to deter them a bit but it will not stop them from entering our country. They are not stealing anyones job, if you want a job go get one. That means you apply anywhere even at McDonald's. If you need money you get it from any place that is willing to give you a job until you find the job that you want. I am sure it is not what you want, it will not pay what you want, and you probably have a college degree but stop complaining that illegal immigrants are taking your job they are not you just need to leave your sense of entitlement behind and get whatever job is available. I always think of what Charlie told me that we do not have the right to anything we just have the priviledge to live in a country in which men and women have given their lives to be part of our military and have fought many wars in order for us to have what we have. The majority of us cannot say we are entitled to what this country has to give us because we would not be willing to join the army, marines, navy, or any branch of the military we are just privilidged that others have done it for us. Therefore people need to stop whinning about illegal immigrants stealing our jobs yet again we need to go back to those companies that are greedy and will do whatever it takes to gain more profit while stealing from the lower classes. Besides illegal immigrants do not even need to come to this country the companies are taking the jobs to those countries because they do not have to abide by the rules in the United States. How is that for irony.

Multiples

I am one of those people thay watches a lot of reality shows. Faded
girl makes fun of me because I watch them and Charlie gets tired of
watching some with me. I just have not found many current programs
that have good story lines and living in Idaho you need cable or
satelite to watch tv and there are many reality shows and we just got
local chanels about a year ago. That's beside the point the actual
point of this blog is how and why do people have so many children. I
watch Jon and Kate plus eight and recently watched a few episodes of
17 kids and counting and wonder why do people have so many children. I
understand Kate got many children because she conceived through
invitro fertilization but the mom in the show 17 kids and counting had
most of hers one at a time. Then there's the octomom and the new show
of Table for 12, this family has 10 children. This makes me wonder how
could a person have so many children. What does that do to your body
and after having so many children how can you be so fertile and keep
having more? The episode I watched of 17 kids and counting gave a
summary of how many years the mom was pregnant. It said she was
pregnant for about 15 years! How can she be so fertile how can she
spend so many years pregnant? I think having even one child is one too
many. She said she stopped trying to not have children after she had a
miscarriage after her first child. Her husband and her believe it is a
blessing from God to have children and they should accept the
pregnancies and stop taking birth control pills. Now it seems that
there will be another baby added to their family. I'm not sure if it
is the mom or the daughter in law that is pregnant now. I think it's
the daughter in law and they will follow suit on the phylosophy of his
parents. It is just hard for me to imagine having that many children
you would think I would understand the idea of having a big family
because my mom had many children but I still don't understand having
that many children. I think what irked me is the fact that they are
using religion to justify why they have so many children and that
there are some people that struggle so much to have a child but they
can't and others get pregnant so easily but don't care much for the
child. Also with so many children it's hard to give each child the
attention they need. Besides isn't there a point you want to stop
having being pregnant. It is just hard for mr to imagine anyone having
so many children

Engagement

We are engaged! After being together for six years we are engaged.
Charlie decided to propose to me on our six year anniversary. I knew
the question was coming but I didn't know when. We had found the ring,
I helped pick it out because he wanted me to get a ring I liked. The
week of our anniversary on February 23 we were expecting to get the
ring through Fedex because the jewelry store we got it from was
closing when we got there and they needed to set the center diamond.
He lied to me and told me the ring hadn't gotten here because of bad
weather and then he said it got sent back to Boise because they
couldn't hold something with that kind of insurance at Twin Falls so
it would probably get to Hailey on the 27th of Feb. I was so angry
when he told me because I was expecting it to get to Hailey on Tuesday
and it was Wednesday and it still wasn't here. So when he proposed on
our annuversary on the 26th I was not expecting it. I just figured we
were going to dinner for our anniversary.

He organized for us to get a sleigh ride up to the Trail Creek Cabin.
I didn't know about this either because we couldn't decide wether we
wanted to go to Ketchum and eat there or at a restaurant here in
Hailey. Charlie was going to ask one of his coworker's where a good
place would be. I'm guessing he suggested the sleigh ride from Ketchum
up to the cabin. We had a very delicious dinner. As soon as we got to
the cabin we got soup served, then we had our main course. Charlie
ordered the new York steak and I ordered the barbecue ribs. The meat
was so soft and well seasoned. They also served some very good smashed
potatoes, vegetables, and macaroni and cheese. We also ordered some
wine and then had dessert. I ofciurse had the chocolate cake and
Charlie had the carrot cake. When we were eating our dessert people
were getting their checks and we were still waiting for ours. Charlie
was getting inpatient because they were taking forever to bring the
check and we were already done. Some people were getting up from their
tables because they got their checks and we were still waiting for
ours and the waitresses were giving other tables their dessert and
they had our check but wouldn't give it to us. He also said he wanted
to get on the sleigh before other people because he was kinda cold
when we were going up to the cabin. They do give you blankets on the
sleigh but he wasn't wearing a thick jacket and after having a warm
week the temperature dropped but it was romantic.

While we were waiting for the check the waitress told us the sleigh
would be leaving in 10 minutes so I decided to go to the restroom
before we left. When I came out Charlie was waiting at a table by the
firplace and the maitre d was placing a chair next to the fire place
which i thought was for the lady with her child that was there but
Charlie told me later it was meant for the man playing the accordion
at the cabin. He was suppose to be playing the song while he proposed
to me. When I was siting at the table Charlie walked over to the man
playing the accordion and asked him to play Over The Rainbow. Then he
got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and proposed to me. It was
very romantic and exciting. People that were around us clapped after
he proposed and the maitre d gave us champaigne. The man playing the
accordion gave some advice and told us to be like the willow tree in
the sense that they sway with the weather and always bounce back
instead of like the oak tree. It made a lot of sense because if we go
through some rough patches we want to work things out and grow
together instead of apart.

I just wanted to show everyone my ring. One lady that was there asked
to see my ring and was impressed. Then we took the sleigh ride back
down and it was very romantic because we were riding under the stars.
Surprisingly it didn't seem that cold when we were going back. It
could have been because we had more blankets because some people
decided to drive down instead of taking the sleigh but it sure did
seem that the temperature dropped because our faces weren't that cold.
Overall it was a wonderful anniversary. Now the next step plan the
wedding. We haven't set a date but we are planning some time next year
maybe over the summer.

He won. Hard to believe but he did it. It is possible for people to
accept each others differences. This is an exciting time.
