Shootings

Yesterday we finally saw the movie The Assasination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford and it made me think about the school shootings and all the other shootings that have been going on. It made me think how these people have been glorified by the media because they give them air time and look into their lives and interview their family members. I feel like they want to find some type of excuse to justify what they have done. Maybe they were suffering emotionally or psychologically but that is no reason or excuse for what they did. The bottom line is that they are murderers and cowards and deserve no pity or attention. The media should be doing stories about the families that are suffering from the lose of their child, husband, wife, or loved one.

Depression or a bad upbringing is no reason or excuse to kill someone else. Many people in this world go through so much suffering but still make something of themselves. They do not go around hurting others for what they have gone through. On the contrary they try to avoid the mistakes their parents did and live a better life. Not everyone is successful but the majority are. Life is not easy, it never will be, it is what we make of it.

The movie made me think of this because of how Jesse James was, because I don't think he is anymore, thought of as a hero by the South because of what he did during the civil war and during the restoration period. What people forget is all of the people that he killed. I'm sure most of the crimes he commited in the name of avenging the south was for his own well being. He knew nothing more that a life of crime and his crimes made him famous.

I believe that the people doing these shootings now a days are not doing it because they have been oppressed or mistreated, they do it to gain fame and blame others for their inability to do something for themselves. It is so much easier to blame others than to take responsibility for what has become of their lives.

Politics

This year's presidential race has been pretty interesting. It is difficult to say who will win in the Democratic side. With super Tuesday I thought a winner would come out but things are pretty close between Obama and Hillary. I would like to see Hillary win because of the history we have had with the Clinton's. True there was a lot of controversy during Bill's last term in office but I truly don't think it affected the job he was doing in any way. He was good for the country. Aren't Americans the one's always saying that what people do in the privacy of their own homes is their business yet we can't help but get into other people's business. We should have been more concerned with how he was running the country than with a disgruntled women that was having an affair with him. I would still like to see them in the white house again. I wonder if an ammendment will be added to out constitution that prevents family members of former presidents from running.

Just saying things because all of a sudden people are concered with having another Bush in office and then the possibility of another Clinton in office. They didn't care when the Roosevelt's were in office and the political power the Kennedy's have. Why must everything always be blown out of proportion here. Why do people concentrate on such little details. It didn't bother us before why is it such a big deal now?

I wonder if the country is ready for what the Democrats have to offer. The country also needs to remember that the there is a nominee from the Republican party running. We cannot forget them. Although Bush has proven to be a complete idiot the majority of the country did reelect him for a second term. This just means that there are quit a bit of close minded individuals that would rather see a Republican in office again than to see a woman or an African American. I really do believe that even people that claim to be Democrats would vote for a Republican than vote for Obama or Hillary. Although it is ridiculous because we are suppose to be looking at who will bring us out of this stupid war and improve out economy and make us the super power we once were. A person's race, gender, or political party should not matter. What should matter are the issues.

Maybe McCain will be a good president but he is not thinking of taking us out of the war. He will need help our economy because more money will continue to go to the war efforts. Atleast the Democrats have a plan to take us out of a place we should not be in any longer. Is it wise to completely withdraw now. No but we definitely need to do it slowly instead of having more of the soldiers die out there for no reson, except for the personal wishes of a leader that knows nothing about war or being in any of the branches of defense.
